Many people don’t eat healthy because they honestly don’t know how to. However, it is one of the most important thing that anyone can do for themselves or their family, learning to be healthy and eat right.

Vegetables don’t need to be threatening or scary, they are really your friends. There are so many different varieties of vegetables out there that it is a sure thing that anyone can find something that they like. The only way to do this is to try as many varieties of vegetables as you can.

The fact that vegetables are good for you plus taste great make it easy to enjoy them. Many people have trouble keeping up with eating healthy because many times it is more difficult. Fresh fruits and vegetables do not keep as long as many of the easy processed foods that can just be shoved into a pantry. Fresh fruits and vegetables are also more expensive than less healthy foods.

Some people don’t enjoy eating raw vegetables, one example could be senior citizens, that have a hard time chewing hard, crunchy vegetables. If a person does not have the knowledge of how to cook a vegetable chances are they will stay away from that vegetable and not try it.  Studies show that children that have been introduced to many different types of fruits and vegetables have a greater chance of eating healthy as they grow into adulthood.  Exposing children to new types of healthy foods helps in two ways, one it lets them eat healthy and two, it teaches them that variety is a good thing. These children will be more likely to eat healthy and also be more open to trying new foods.

It is time for everyone to make a change in their eating habits.  So many people to not eating healthy these days mainly because the non healthy foods are cheaper and more convenient. Try to remember how good it makes you feel after you eat something that is nutritious and healthy for you.  Yes it might be more trouble and it might be a little more expensive, but your health is worth it.
